So apparently the Board of Directors is looking to change up the curriculum in Texas public schools.
While I’m all for schools teaching a different aspect of history, I do not think students should be taught history from one viewpoint. They should be allowed to have a broad view of the subject and have their own opinion of it. I’m not sure I agree with the fact that the panel of experts chosen by the board have no background with education either. It seemed as if some of the Board members were more concerned with having their opinions heard then thinking about the children, which is a shame and worries me a little.
But what are your opinions on the article?
